HOW TO OWN SUNDAY BRUNCH AT HOME

Lifestyle

There’s no place quite like home, right?

For me my favourite part of any day is when I can put work aside, put on some music and just sit back and relax in our own space. With the change of season and the sun shining a lot more, I decided there’s no time quite like now to start bringing back that soft relaxed vibe to our favourite spots in our home.

I’m definitely more of a muted pastel kind of gal as opposed to bright and bold, and I wouldn’t want to push my luck too much with the man of the house (haha!) One thing we can both agree on that we love in our home however, is a Sunday brunch together.

I am 100% not the cook in our home, unless burnt toast and microwaved scrambled eggs is what you’re into, so I leave creating the delicious treats to my partner Regan. The setup is totally more my department and as always anything with wood elements, cane and soft colourings is what you would expect to find.

It looks like I’m also on trend too, because in stores lately there’s a lot of earthy/neutral tones still hanging around, wooden utensils and serving boards, and if you really want to get fancy there’s even some really cute soft pastel tea cups and pots coming through. These also make those shots for the “gram” that little bit more amazing!

The tea pots and cups are great if you’re wanting to take your basic brunch to super cute high tea in just a few seconds, especially fab to keep in the cupboard if your needing to impress the in-laws (hint hint).

Homewares are literally my favourite thing; they are so accessible and not to mention affordable these days, especially with how cool Farmers and The Warehouse are! If you ever need anything to spruce things up, or to help create more magical brunch moments within your home, make sure you pop in store and take a look. I have also listed some suggestions for you below.

Maybe I should add a cookbook to the lineup and attempt to at least master making the perfect scrambled eggs before the next time we chat…. Better living everyone.
